Everyone who participated in the Summer Reading Program gets a prize....have you come by to pick up yours? Everyone receives a certificate and a prize so come on by if you haven't yet!


There are lots of new programs coming! And come on in to meet our new Youth Services Librarian, Miss Jessica.

JessicaDo you have a recommendation for a great book? Add it to our children’s display for fall. Write the title and author of your favorite book on a leaf that will be available at the Youth Services desk.

Book Clubs

The Snack Pack, an afterschool book club for children in grades 1-3 will be discussing the comical “Moxy Maxwell Does Not Love Stuart Little” by Peggy Gifford on Tuesday September 16th at 3:30. Registration is required. Books are available to pick up at the Youth Services Desk.

The Parent/Child Book Club has a new name! Page Turners. Anyone in grades 4 - 6 is welcome with an adult. The first book this year will be "The Invention of Hugo Cabret" by Brian Selznick. The meeting will be Thursday, September 25th at 6:30. Registration is required and the books are available to pick up at the Youth Services Desk.       

Did you ever wonder what it would be like if you could talk to your friends and shop all in your head? Join the Young Adult book club in reading and discussing “Feed” by M.T. Anderson, a futuristic science fiction novel where kids are able to have computers in their minds. Our meeting is Friday September 19th at 3:30. Books will be placed on hold upon registration.


A series of story times begins on Monday September 15th-November 24th. Toddler Time is on Mondays at 10:30 for ages 2-3 years, Preschool Story time is on Tuesdays at 10:30 for ages 4-6 years, and Baby Lap Sit is on Wednesdays at 10:30 for ages 6-24 months. Registration begins on September 8th.      


 A drop-in after school craft will be “Make Your Own Board Game” on Tuesday September 23rd at 3:30 for grades 2 and up. Just bring an idea for a board game!
