Summer Reading this year challenges you to "Read, Renew, Repeat" at home and at the Library by protecting nature and renewing a love of learning. You can participate online through Beanstack or by visiting the library to log your books with our staff.
It's easy to participate:
- You read (or listen to audiobooks).
- You write (your name and a review).
- You enter (for prizes).

Who can participate?
All adults with a valid SAILS library card can enter the Summer Reading Challenge. Kids, teens, and babies & toddlers have their own programs!
How do I enter the drawings for bi-weekly prizes?
Log at least one book on Beanstack or by dropping off a Reading Log at the library before an upcoming bi-weekly prize drawing to be automatically eligible for that gift card (listed below). Reading Logs can be downloaded here or picked up at the library. Participants can only win one bi-weekly prize.
How do I enter the Grand Prize Drawing for the Kindle Fire?
Log at least one book on Beanstack before the drawing on Friday, August 22nd. All readers will be eligible for the Grand Prize, whether you have won a bi-weekly drawing or not.
Prizes
Throughout the summer, we will have bi-weekly prize drawings; to be eligible for a bi-weekly drawing, participants must log at least one book via Beanstack or at the Library in the 2 week period. All prizes must be picked up at the Library.

Come hear Daniel F Harrigton give a live presentation about the sinking of the steamship Larchmont in 1907, a maritime tragedy that took place off the coast of Block Island, RI in February of 1907. The fascinating presentation covers the story of the ship, its crew and passengers, as well as accounts of survival, panic, murder and miracles with digitally restored photos, engaging graphics, live music, and eyewitness accounts.

Sarah will teach you the basics of floral arranging using fresh cut greens and locally bought blooms. You will find inexpensive ways to always have a fresh flower arrangement in your home and how to keep your arrangement long lasting. Space is limited.
