Summer Reading 2024 has ended; youth participants can pick up beads, prizes, and one free book through September 3rd.
Summer Reading this year challenges you to "Read, Renew, Repeat" at home and at the Library by protecting nature and renewing a love of learning. You can participate online through Beanstack or by visiting the library to log your books with our staff.
It's easy to participate:
- You read (or listen to audiobooks).
- You write (your name and a review).
- You enter (for prizes).

How do I enter the drawings for bi-weekly prizes?
Log at least one book on Beanstack or by dropping off a Reading Log at the library before an upcoming bi-weekly prize drawing to be automatically eligible for that gift card (listed below). Reading Logs can be downloaded here or picked up at the library. Participants can only win one bi-weekly prize.
How do I enter the Grand Prize Drawing for the Kindle Fire?
Log at least one book on Beanstack before the drawing on Friday, August 25th. All readers will be eligible for the Grand Prize, whether you have won a bi-weekly drawing or not.

Gardening for Biodiversity with Native Plants
Thursday, July 25th at 6:00 p.m.
Presented by Amy Meltzer, This talk focuses on the current biodiversity crisis; the evolutionary history among native plants, insects, birds and fungi, and how these interdependent relationships among diverse species are necessary for their survival. Amy will show how growing native plants and using ecological landscape practices can simultaneously reverse biodiversity loss, increase resilience in our landscapes, and slow climate change - all while creating a beautiful garden!
