Friends are welcome to join us at our next meeting on Tuesday, July 8th at 6:00pm.
What are the Friends?
The Friends augment the work of the Library Board of Trustees in gaining support for library improvement, creating public awareness of the role of the library in the community, providing financial support beyond the library's budget limits, encouraging gifts and endowments to the library, and supporting legislation important to libraries.

Fundraisers
Book & Bake Sales, Gift Basket Raffles, and summer Silent Auctions are some of the fundraisers the Friends sponsor each year. Through these fundraisers and Annual Membership Drive, the Friends can support the Library by providing funds for our:
  • Discounted Museum Passes (This program is funded in part by a grant from the Pembroke Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency),
  • "Best Sellers" Collection,
  • Events & programs including musical performances and life skills workshops,
  • Updated technology,
  • Summer Reading Challenges,
  • And more!
Membership Tiers
Now more than ever it feels so important to be part of something good, something bigger than ourselves within our community. Your membership should represent more than an annual donation. To acknowledge your donation and participation as a member, Friends of Pembroke Public Library offers the following membership levels and incentives:
  • Senior Membership, $10 - Receive a window decal with a Friends logo
  • Individual Membership, $25 - Receive a window decal
  • Family Membership, $40 - Receive a window decal and a tote bag with the logo
  • Corporate Membership, $75 - Receive social media recognition
Membership Form
"So," you ask, “How do I become a Friend of Pembroke Public Library?"

It’s easy! Bring your donation as a cash or check to the library circulation desk, complete a membership form (or download one below), and receive your incentive(s) immediately. Your membership will be valid through December of the year you began your membership.

We look forward to adding many new Friends to our list of supporters, and thank you in advance for your participation!

2024 Holiday Ornament

Each year the Friends sponsor a limited edition ornament featuring a Pembroke landmark. The 2024 design depicts the new Pembroke Community Center.
A round ornament with a painting of colorful fireworks over a large field.. The field is occupied by a band on a stage with microphones, guitars, and drums, a large bouncy house, and a flag in the forefront picturing a large, red letter P on a blue background. Other people and children are scattered around the area.
The most recent years' ornaments are $20. Ornaments for 2021 and years prior to that are $18. Please visit the Library during regular opening hours to make a purchase.
