Meetings are the second Tuesday of February, April, June, August,
October, and December. Special meetings are added as needed.

The Friends augment the work of the Library Board of Trustees in gaining support for library improvement, creating public awareness of the role of the library in the community, providing financial support beyond the library's budget limits, encouraging gifts and endowments to the library, and supporting legislation important to libraries.

Book & Bake Sales, Gift Baskets Raffle and a July Silent Auction are some of the fundraisers the Friends sponsor each year. Through our fundraisers and Annual Membership Drive, the Friends are able to provide many extras for The Pembroke Public Library including :
  •      Discounted Museum Passes
  •      Best Sellers
  •      Grants for Technology Improvements
  •      Updates to materials and collections
  •      Music Programs and other programs
  •      Support of the Summer Reading Program
  •      And much more!

Join Us!

This year we are offering an added incentive for becoming a Friend of Pembroke Public Library!  Now, more than ever, it feels so important to be part of something good, something bigger than      ourselves within our community.  Your membership should represent more than an annual donation.  To acknowledge your donation and participation as a member, Friends of Pembroke Public Library would like to offer the following membership incentives:

  • Silver Membership:  a $15.00 donation - window decal with Friends logo
  • Gold Membership:  a $25.00 donation - window decal, canvas book tote with Friends logo, and coupon for one shopping bag of books for free at the annual book sale
  • Corporate Membership: a $50.00 donation - both window decal and canvas tote with Friends logo

So you ask, “How do I become a Friend of Pembroke Public Library?”  It’s easy!  You can bring your donation (cash or check) to the library circulation desk and receive your incentive immediately.  Your membership will be valid through December 2022.  We look forward to adding many new Friends to our list of supporters, and thank you in advance for your participation!
