There are many ways to help and support your Library!
Libraries exist to serve, but they also need your support. Volunteers can help at events or with daily library tasks. Donations help build our collection and fund the library through books sales. Financial support to provide expanded services is also needed and appreciated.
Make a Donation
Material Donations (books, DVDs, games, etc.): Donations of materials are accepted during open hours with the understanding that they may or may not be added to the collection, sold, or discarded. The library does not provide evaluation of gifts for tax deduction or other purposes but will provide a receipt if desired. Containers (boxes/bags) that donations are brought in are not able to be emptied immediately, they should considered the containers part of the donation.
Items are sold by the Friends of the Pembroke Public Library to support their mission. Please bring donations into the library during regular hours. |
Monetary Donations: The Library gratefully accepts donations for book memorials. To donate, please call the Library Director at 781-293-6771. The Library will acknowledge your donation with a "purchased in memory of" book plate in items purchased. Direct giving is a wonderful way to help. Gifts given in memory of a loved one is a touching way to honor their memory.
You may also choose to supplement our collection with materials in a specific subject. For details, please contact us with your interest. We will look for gaps in our collection and provide suggestions that fit your specific interest. If you are interested in making a monetary donation, or donating in a loved one's memory, please speak with the Library Director, Kathleen Benvie, at 781-293-6771 or kbenvie@sailsinc.org You may also mail donations with checks made out to: Pembroke Public Library 142 Center Street Pembroke, MA 02359 Please list the name the donation is in memory of in the note line. |

Volunteer at the Pembroke Public Library
Volunteers accomplish many functions at the library. Some of the tasks adult volunteers may assist with include making phone calls, processing books, leading adult and youth programs, and keeping the building neat in appearance both indoors and out.
Our Teen Volunteer Program is currently on hiatus. Please check back again.
