What are we working on now?
|
We are building for the future! Our Children’s Room will be expanded to create more program space to
meet the needs of our kids. Over the last dozen years, the Pembroke Public Library Foundation, the Library, and the Town of Pembroke have been working together towards this expansion to the Library. This dream is now a reality, with plans to open an approximately 2,700 square foot addition in winter/spring 2027. This addition will also allow the Library to expand the teen room, create a local history room for residents and researchers with space to view our collection of Pembroke documents and memorabilia, and allow for private study spaces. This project is made possible by the foundational giving of Alan Peterson and his sister Linda Peterson. Alan and Linda and their family are generational Pembroke residents who have given -and continue to give - their time and energy to our Town. Their generosity of $1.2 million has been the driver of this expansion project and the Town and other donors have joined them. The Foundation continues to raise funds for the project and we welcome and need the support of the community. |
