Sign up at the library:

Signing up for a library card is easy, and it will be one of the most valuable things in your wallet! A Pembroke Public Library card gives you access to the entire SAILS network of libraries!

To get a card, visit the Library with:
  • Photo ID
  • Proof of current address (if your ID does not have your current address, you can bring in alternatives such as lease/purchase agreement, vehicle registration, or official piece of mail)
Youth ages 12 and under (and minors without photo ID) must have:
  • A parent/guardian present with a photo ID and proof of current address

Replacement cards cost $1. If your card is lost or stolen, notify the library immediately to prevent unauthorized borrowing.

Sign up online​​:

If you want to register for a card online to access databases, download an eBook, or request a title, sign up for a temporary library card. Online registrations become active immediately. With a temporary card you can:
  • Place up to 5 holds.
  • Access our online magazines and newspapers.
  • Checkout and download OverDrive/Libby eBooks, audio books, and music.
You have 3 weeks to come to the library with identification to pick up your card.

By signing a Library card registration form and receiving a library card, you are agreeing to obey all rules, take good care of all materials borrowed, pay all fines or damages accrued, and to give prompt notice of change in contact information.

Library cards expire every three years to allow us to update your contact information. If you get a message that your card has expired, please stop by so we may renew your card for another three years.

What's my PIN?

When you use your library card online, you will be asked for your PIN. It should be the last four digits of your phone number.

The SAILS Mobile app offers a new level of access to everything our library network has to offer - wherever you are and whenever you need it!
  • Search the SAILS catalog by title, author, subject, keyword, or barcode (using your device's camera)
